About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Cadence, an independent developer ("we", "us"), for your use of the Tutor Pay Android app (package com.cadence.tutorpay). By installing or using Tutor Pay you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
You must be 18 or over to use Tutor Pay.
Your account
- You sign in with your Google account. Keep your phone and Google account secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Profile > Delete account, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Plans and subscriptions
- Free plan. Tutor Pay can be used for free with the limits shown in the app.
- Monthly plan. The Monthly plan is a subscription sold through Google Play. The price is shown in the app and in Google Play before you buy, and is charged to your Google Play account.
- Renewal. The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it in Google Play. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid being charged for the next month. After you cancel, Monthly features stay until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds. Payments are handled by Google Play and follow Google Play's refund policies. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
- Changes. We may change plan features, limits or prices. Price changes apply from your next renewal, and Google Play will tell you before they take effect.
Your records and responsibilities
- The records you enter belong to you. We do not claim any ownership of them.
- You are responsible for the student and parent information you enter, for having the right to keep it, and for following the privacy laws that apply to you.
- Records are stored on your phone. Keep backups: if your phone is lost, reset or the app is uninstalled, records without a backup cannot be recovered.
- Fee totals, dues and reports are worked out from what you enter. Check them before relying on them for billing, taxes or disputes.
- When you send a WhatsApp reminder, you review and send it yourself and are responsible for its content.
Acceptable use
Do not use Tutor Pay to break the law, to harass anyone, or to store information you have no right to keep. Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, or try to get around its plan limits or security.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
Our app
- Tutor Pay, its name, logo and design belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices under these terms.
- The app relies on Google (Firebase, Play and Drive), RevenueCat and WhatsApp, which have their own terms.
- We may update, change or stop parts of the app. Some updates may be required to keep using it.
Disclaimers and liability
Tutor Pay is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it reliable but do not promise it will be error-free, always available, or that records will never be lost.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost income or lost data. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Tutor Pay in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
Changes, law and contact
Changes. We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Tutor Pay after a change means you accept it.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting consumer protections in the country where you live.
